Here is a draft of the mail I’m going to be sending to all members of WikiStudent, starting on Monday.
Dear WikiStudent members,
WikiStudent, a site for Unisa students where you registered, has been ‘under construction’ for some time now, and as the owner I’ve decided to mail all members to say what’s happening.
At the beginning of March I started a blog at http://blog.wikistudent.ws to log my progress in bringing the new site live, and have been updating it every day.
Have a look through the categories and archives to find out more. If you’d like to give feedback, please comment on an appropriate post, rather than sending me an email.
I can’t tell you when WikiStudent will be back up again because I have no idea! It is a lot of work and will take time. The blog at least will give you an idea how far I am with the new site.
I am verry sorry about all this downtime, but this way you can at least influence the development of the new WikiStudent and help me turn it into an even more useful site for Unisa students worldwide!

When I say ’starting on monday’ I mean I’ll be sending the first batch then (to the first 200 members) because I have to spread my mails out over several days. (It is not possible for me to send thousands of emails in one go). So if you are a member and wondering why you didn’t get this mail, it’s on its way!
